In response to an invitation from Dr Robyn Mills whom I met at Little Grandmother’s event, today I spoke about the Quilt on Heart to Heart Radio: A radio program dedicated to heart to heart sharing and making a difference on the Planet. The platform for the radio program has been provided by a wonderful endeavour “The Difference”
Here is the interview
Blessings and support for us and the Quilt from Rachel Shields and Aunty Carolyn Briggs during a regular Goddess Within support meeting. It was a joy to receive their wisdom and sharing. (Rachel Shields is a travelling story teller, singer and songwriter. She fuses her indigenous culture and spirituality in her sharing.)
(Aunty Carolyn is a Boonwurrung elder from Victoria and keeper of the history and genealogies of her people. She was also awarded NAIDOC Female Elder of the Year 2011)
It’s been a while since the last news update. The Quilt has been steadily growing and I awakened this morning with a clear thought to bring the Quilt to Little Grandmother ( Keisha Crowther, Shaman and Wisdom Keeper of the “Tribe of Many Colours.”)
Many thanks to Little Grandmother for her encouragement and support; and for her blessings for the Quilt and its future journey. She also provided me the opportunity to speak about the project.
Some words from Little Grandmother’s Website: www.littlegrandmother.net:
“The Elders and Wise Ones are telling us that the time is now, that “We are the Ones we have been waiting for.” They have asked us to be the change we wish for, and to remember who we really are. My prayer for this time is that we can unite our heart consciousness, share our kindness and generosity with one another and become one—One Family of One Mother, One Heart and One Tribe.”
Since that day the Quilt has been “taking on a life of its own
Today I travelled to Adelaide to sew onto the Quilt the dolls that an amazing group of women have been making over many months. The centre is gaining in strength and intention as each part of the process is completed.
I wonder what will unfold next?
The quilt was exhibited at a “Be The Change Symposium” for which I co-facilitated – hopefully many more to come.
